Do you ever wish that your favorite store would make it easier to shop at for plant-based products? Well, your wish has finally come true! Nationwide company Target has been continuously expanding brand lines that offer products that are 100% of vegan product. Simply Balanced, Kashi, and E.l.f. are some examples of brands that have recently been a HUGE hit on the shelves at Target for vegans.
2013 to 2014 is when Target decided to introduce their policy known as Made to Matter. Made to Matter allows the company to handpick the brands that they want to sell to achieve the best quality of their products. Even better, Target is generously offering these products at a reasonable price, which is usually a difficult thing to find for vegans. The company claims that the collection ranges in price from $1 for water to $14.99 for seafood.
These products vary from breakfast foods to dinner foods. This brand even offers delicious snacks that you can eat between meals and throughout the day. Four different kinds of “meatless meats” that Simply Balanced carries include Smoky Chipotle Meatless Chicken, Mushroom Miso Meatless Turkey, Korean Barbecue Meatless Chicken, and Teriyaki Meatless Chicken. If you are more like a pasta eater, like myself, you are also in luck! Simply Balanced carries pasta of all sizes, shapes, grains, and even color (YUM.) An endless amount of teas are also offered.
These products include all types of foods. I think Kashi is very well-known for their cereals and bars. Some Kashi products contain honey, but others do not. Some mornings, especially when I am forced to make a quick breakfast, I live off of Kashi cereal. My favorite is the Raisin Vineyard. Whole grains are major ingredients that Kashi makes sure to add into all of their products. The people of Kashi say, “we discovered that, when combined, whole grains can provide progressive nutrition, even protein, while minimizing impact on the planet.” How great is that?
This is the last brand that I want to share with you guys. E.l.f. is a line of beauty products. This makeup is easily my favorite brand. When I first tried their makeup, I gasped in amazement. When I found out that ALL of their makeup products are free of animal cruelty, I fell in love. Some of their products sell for $1.00 each! Cheap AND vegan; is there any combination better than that? Even the Peta Organization is thrilled to advertise the kindness of e.l.f. Make-up products of all kind are sold such as eye shadow, face make-up, eye liner, and lipstick.
Because of the way Target has been expanding their products that they sell, they have been gaining even MORE business because of the vegans that can now shop there. It is nice to see that plant-based products are becoming more accessible, thanks to companies like Target. The appreciation that Target has been gaining after their renovation of products is phenomenal, and they deserve it!
