The Cat’s Out of the Bag!
Have you heard? Grocery chain Whole Foods Market is close to solving one of the biggest worries that food-shoppers have: How am I supposed to maintain my budget when hale and hearty food is so costly? Now, the struggle of finding ways to survive a trip to the grocery store without spending your whole paycheck at Whole Foods is over.
John Mackey, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Whole Foods Market, recently announced the anticipated plans of opening a new line of stores that will offer less expensive products and will, of course, maintain the high and fresh quality that they are known for. In the press release, Mackey states:
Our Whole Foods Market brand has helped lead the shift in consciousness toward fresh, healthy foods by offering the highest quality, broadest selection, and best customer service, and we believe we can triple the number of Whole Foods Market stores in the United States. At the same time, we also see an opportunity to leverage our long history of retail innovation and extend our reach in the marketplace.
Although there are ways to shop for organic, vegan and fresh foods without exceeding your budget, sometimes it is hard to find a way to accomplish that. Thanks to Whole Foods Market, this will no longer be a problem or a reason to give up on clean eating.
Whole Foods Cares About Its Consumers
Whole Foods’ new chain of stores will not only gain more customers but will also offer customers healthy food selections they love at an affordable price. Finally, consumers can celebrate a company that has additional focuses besides profit. The press release even proudly admits that the concept of these new stores will “deliver a convenient, transparent, and values-oriented experience geared toward millennial shoppers.” Great!
Whole Foods realizes that opening a new line of stores will satisfy even more audiences. Customers that struggle with the costs that come with the fresh products that Whole Foods Market sells will now be able to take advantage of the beneficial nutrients in their products without hurting their bank account.
How Long Do We Have to Wait?
As of now, there is no exact date confirming when the new line of stores will open. However, there seems to be a possibility that we do not have to wait for long. John Mackey said, “The plan is to begin opening stores next year, and given the more standardized design and product assortment, the Company expects a fairly rapid expansion from there.”
Now for the fun part: what will these new stores be called? I am sure that you guys can come up with some great names that fit perfectly with the Whole Foods Market image. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
