Day One with Thrive
The Almond-Apricot was my first choice for a breakfast bar. The crunch of the almonds with just a slight tang of the apricot, plus a chewy texture was my overall impression of the bar. Later in the day for a pick-me up I tried the Chocolate-Sea Salt. The nut mix, cashews and almonds and the chocolate was what I first tasted, then a bite of the salt, and again the bar had that great chewy texture to finish it off. This vegan Thrive bar helped to get me through my afternoon until dinner.
Day Two with Thrive
For my next morning’s breakfast, I went for the Blueberry-Lavender flavor. I was interested in the combination and I was excited to try it. At first bite I could taste the walnuts, a touch of blueberry but could not detect any lavender. I enjoyed the bar and again that expected chewy texture, but I was disappointed in the lack of lavender flavor.
My afternoon energy boost choice was the Chocolate-Peanut Chip. Peanuts were the first ingredient, mixed with the brown rice syrup (which has been giving all the bars it’s chewy goodness), plus the slightest hint of chocolate. It was not too sweet to weigh me down and give me a sugar crash.
Day Three with Thrive
The following morning I gave the Ginger-Lemon a shot. The cashews gave it the nutty flavor and the chewy wondrousness of the brown rice syrup, but the ginger and lemon flavor were just barely there. I love ginger and was hoping for a little more bite, but that may be personal taste.
For my afternoon sweet treat, I grabbed a Caramel-Coconut. The cashews and almonds hit my taste buds first, then I got the sweet chewy hint of the caramel-coconut blend. I was almost wishing for a sweeter taste.
