I believe I have found the Holy Grail in Piping Gourmets’ gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free Whoopie Pies. Ever since transitioning to vegan from vegetarian four years ago I am always in search of the perfect vegan whoopie pie. As a child growing up in the Northeast, the whoopie pie was a familiar treat. Not quite a cookie, not quite a cake, but you would know one on sight with its soft round chocolate cake and heaps of creamy filling.

The Piping Gourmets’ Gluten-Free Whoopie Pies are an evolved recipe free from soy, egg, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, trans-fat, hydrogenated oil, GMOs, artificial ingredients and plant-based colors. They come in five different delicious flavors: Chocolate Chocolate, Chocolate Vanilla, Vanilla Vanilla, Chocolate Mint and Chocolate Raspberry. These delectable vegan delights at first bite will not disappoint. Piping Gourmets’ Gluten-Free Whoopie Pies are nothing short of AMAZING! I chose the original Chocolate Vanilla flavor for childhood nostalgia’s sake, and as a chocolate lover, the Chocolate Chocolate flavor. The original Chocolate Vanilla flavor I dove into first. The chocolate cake outer layer is moist, rich and chewy and the vanilla filling is sweet and creamy. The Chocolate Chocolate flavor was equally as delicious with the chocolate filling being the added touch without going into chocolate overload.
