Smoothies have become super popular as a delicious healthy drink, but sometimes they can be deceptively high in sugar that makes them more of a dessert than the healthy drink we hoped for.
However, if you make your smoothies at home, then you can control exactly what goes in it. This recipe is vegan-friendly, and full of antioxidants and good fats which makes it the perfect healthy drink.
It includes the superfood mix of turmeric and matcha; together they are a powerhouse of antioxidants that work wonders on the health. Turmeric contains the active ingredient, curcumin, which has incredible anti-inflammatory properties. This is why it’s known for helping treat a range of health conditions, including arthritis, cancer, and Alzheimer’s.
And the matcha powder contains the potent antioxidant ECGC which also helps boost the metabolism, increase energy levels and protect the cardiovascular system. Just one cup of this smoothie will flood your body with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to help strengthen your immune system, protect your health, stabilise your mood and increase your energy levels!
